When you wake up in the morning, do you grab your phone and go straight to social media?  There are a lot of people who do that on a daily basis and don’t even notice it.  We are so stuck on what we receive from social media that sometimes we begin to think of it as the truth. The article “Americans Who Mainly Get Their News on Social Media Are Less Engaged, Less Knowledgeable by BY AMY MITCHELL, MARK JURKOWITZ, J. BAXTER OLIPHANT, and ELISA SHEARER. Where it states” ...These U.S. adults, for instance, tend to be less likely than other news consumers to closely follow major news stories, such as the coronavirus outbreak and the 2020 presidential election.”.  This is showing us the news that is reposted on social media and we began to believe that it is true.  We see others posting about their opinion and we get caught up with other people agreeing, thinking that they know all the facts, in all honesty, no one does.  This statement also shows us that we rely more on people’s statement

For those who don’t know , George Edwin Taylor and  Sen. Kamala Harris, are two African Americans who have had a major impact on history . While these two were running for election, they had a lot of obstacles to overcome . Over time history has Changed , we still face the same problems in some way. One of the main problems that they were facing is racism back then it may have been way worse for George Edwin but we still are facing it today. They both want Equality for all African Americans. Also, some of the differences just because of timing back then African Americans have fewer rights than what we do today and George Edwin was trying to change that. Also today we have more problems in the United States that Kamala is trying to change like solving global problems, human rights, and focusing on rebuilding economic strength. So these things are what make these candidates unique in their way. I need to add more information and reread the paper about these to people to add more d

The song stand by me has been remade in so many different ways but with this song and the video, it changes the whole perspective.  The song “Stand By Me | Playing For Change | Song Around The World” which was Published November 6, 2008.  The main purpose is to bring everyone closer, but if we look more into it you will see so many different cultures, you will see they are all playing music on the street and all dress differently.  The relationship between the band playing seems as if they are connected.  As the song plays in the beginning you will see a man singing alone but also he has every instrument he needs set up to sing the song.  This is similar to the other band players because what they can relate to is the instruments that they are using and playing.  You see that they are all using headphones.  This was all recorded from one person, it took this person over several years to get this whole video done.  Just because they had to fly to every state and country that was listed

There are so many ways to grab the audience’s attention.  Could be visual or written somehow the writer wants to grab the audience’s attention. The first source provided is Visual which means it is a video.  In the video the oral is the cultural context, it has to do with the human bodies as from being babies to groan adults.  This video is electronic because it is accessed on the internet.  In the video, you can see the woman is using her hand to show us the picture and where the bones grow and showing in our body change over time.  She also uses facial expressions while explaining everything in the video.  The clothes she is wearing seem Casual it is a flower shirt with black jeans which means she could just be a teacher.  For the Written one on the human body, it grabs the audience's attention by the picture of a real-life rain with blood all over it.  The print in this the spelling, punctuation, and the way it's written.  It's more like the author is trying to tell us a

Anhala Woodbine 1101 English  9/20/2020 Is Cheerleading An Actual Sport?  When you think of cheerleading, do you ever think of it as a sport?   I know I do, most people don't think of it as a sport, but it plays so many roles. When cheerleading first started, it was all men in the 1800s. They didn't allow women until 1923. At first, cheerleading was not a sport just a crowd cheering on a football team. Over time it started to grow larger, they started to teach students more complicated routines, stunts, and jumps. This event made All-Star a sport. They begin to focus more on competition and athletic training. Cheerleaders do so much we barely notice, they carry their teammates as they do flips, or even throw them up in the air. As you see other sports at practice everyday cheerleaders are there as well practicing on they stunt, jumps, flips, and dances. When it comes to competition cheerleading, you have to make sure you are sharp that your dance and stunts are way different f

Anahla  woodbine  1011 English 9/15/2020 When you think of Thomas Edison you think of I'm inventing the lightbulb. The real question is did he really invent the light bulb? I think Thomas Edison didn't invent the light bulb. The idea of a light bulb has been mentioned long before Thomas Edison was born. Alessandro Volta made the first practical method of generating electricity. After he did that he showed his Invention to Humphry Davy. he was an English chemist and inventor, he was the first person in the world to light the electric lamp by connecting voltaic piles to charcoal electrodes. Over time his invention started to improve. His invention wasn't all that good. The light will burn out quickly or it may have to be Bright. Also, we are thinking Who was the first person to make a lightbulb. The whole idea behind his invention inspired other people to try to build the same thing and improve in his work. Where Thomas Edison comes in he sees the problem where Davy went wron
