When you wake up in the morning, do you grab your phone and go straight to social media?
There are a lot of people who do that on a daily basis and don’t even notice it.
We are so stuck on what we receive from social media that sometimes we begin to think of it as the truth. The article “Americans Who Mainly Get Their News on Social Media Are Less Engaged, Less Knowledgeable by BY AMY MITCHELL, MARK JURKOWITZ, J. BAXTER OLIPHANT, and ELISA SHEARER. Where it states” ...These U.S. adults, for instance, tend to be less likely than other news consumers to closely follow major news stories, such as the coronavirus outbreak and the 2020 presidential election.”.
This is showing us the news that is reposted on social media and we began to believe that it is true.
We see others posting about their opinion and we get caught up with other people agreeing, thinking that they know all the facts, in all honesty, no one does.
This statement also shows us that we rely more on people’s statements on social media than the news “Overall, this group tends to pay less attention to the news than those who rely on most other pathways.”.
Nowadays we are like fishes and the fake news is the fishing rod. They are slowing rilling us in with news that is false information.
In the article “How Social Media Has Changed How We Consume News” Nicole Martin, explains how social media is our main source of information to go to.
She says “Most people will just scroll through their newsfeed and stumble upon relevant news content but just read the headlines or a short video clip of the piece.
An average visitor will only read an article for 15 seconds or less and the average video watch time online is 10 seconds.”.
Sometimes instead of learning and reading the full information, we just watch a video or read the headline of it, then start to judge the story with our opinion and others.
Even though social media has changed our way of getting information, it not just only that, it's the way we live our lives as well.

I really like the way you started. It makes me want to read your article. However, it looks like you have a lot of spaces between your sentences and your font is pretty small what makes your article hard to read.
