Anahla Woodbine 1101 English 9/3/2020   For those who don’t know George Edwin Taylor and  Sen. Kamala Harris, these are two people who impact our history majorly. While these two were running for Action you can say that they had a lot to relate to. Even though Time Has Changed we still face the same problems in some way. One of the main problems that they were facing is racism back then it may have been way worse for George Edwin but we still are facing it today. They both want Equality for all African Americans. Also, some of the differences just because of timing back then African Americans have fewer rights than what we do today and George Edwin was trying to change that. Also today we have more problems in the United States that Kamala is trying to change like solving global problems, human rights, and focusing on rebuilding economic strength. Anahla Woodbine  1101 English 9/7/2020 There are so many  reasons leading up to the differences in graduation rates is because of money and College preparedness. Money has a big impact on our everyday life we don’t notice. If you take a moment and look around we use the money for so many things even to stay alive. Therefore when you look up colleges you want to go to and see the price you get nervous on how to pay it. Yes there are Scholarships And yes there is financial aid but sometimes these things don't cover the full payment so you have to come out of pocket. Even with that, you can’t always afford it. So when a person cant afford college they end up dropping out and doing something else in their life. When it comes to college preparedness it can do with high school, mindset, or even household. When a person is beginning to come from high school the teachers don’t prepare us it more of us doing it on our own. That’s with learning how to manage our time on our own. Also mindset

Hello my name is Anahla Woodbine and i am passionate about animals. My love for all types of animals has been the day I was born. Since I was little it didn't matter what type of animals I was around I always wanted to take care of them and love them. Growing up I had a few different kinds of animals, I had 12 mice, sugar glider,3 dogs, and an aquarium for my fishes. I love animals because they are kind and gentle they never mean any harm. when we get a pet it's like that pet becomes our other half for life, we create abound with them that can never be taken away. In a way, they help us with a lot that we don't even realize. Animals are the reason I want to become a veterinarian because helping them like they help us is the one thing I dream about.
